FASCAT® 4100 is a white solid catalyst composed of butylstannoic acid. It has low loading levels and serves as a versatile synthesizer for producing chemical intermediates.
FASCAT® 4100 catalyst exhibits high activity even at low concentrations. It is mainly employed in synthesizing and manufacturing saturated polyester resins, unsaturated polyester resins, and polymeric plasticizers. This catalyst grade is in a solid state and can accelerate esterification and polycondensation processes within a temperature range of 210°C to 240°C. The FASCAT® 4100 catalyst dissolves in carboxylic acid at 80°C during the process and becomes part of the final product without any impact on its quality.
