FASCAT® 4202 is a dibutyltin dilaurate catalyst for cross-linking two-component polyurethane coatings, RTV silicones, and cross-linked polyethylene–silane copolymer systems.
The FASCAT® 4202 catalyst is used for cross-linking two-component urethane coatings, RTV silicone, and polyethylene–silane copolymer systems. It functions as a gelling catalyst in the production of flexible and rigid polyurethane foams, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers.
FASCAT® 4202 is a multipurpose catalyst suitable for a wide range of urethane cross-linking processes and silanol condensation reactions. The combination of alcohols with isocyanates drives the process of accelerating and completing the production of urethanes. The FASCAT® 4202 catalyst is resistant to hydrolysis, although it will undergo hydrolysis when exposed to aqueous caustic at ambient temperature.
