CELOGEN® products are nitrogen-based chemical foaming agents that are excellent for use in expanded cellular rubbers and plastic applications. CELOGEN® AZ and OT are the most common grades among the CELOGEN® product portfolio. CELOGEN® AZ products are based on azodicarbonamide (ADC) and CELOGEN® OT grades are based on symmetrical sulfonyl hydrazide (OBSH).
To find the recommended CELOGEN® product for your application, first select your resin type:
CELOGEN® 760A is an azodicarbonamide self-nucleating chemical foaming agent for thermoplastics and elastomers that prevents cyanuric acid plate-out from forming and depositing onto dies, molds, and screws.
CELOGEN® ACTICELL® U is a chemical blowing agent activator that lowers the decomposition temperatures of CELOGEN® AZ, CELOGEN® OT, and DNPT foaming agents. CELOGEN® ACTICELL® U is a cost-effective activator and accelerator for chemical blowing agents that lower the decomposition temperature of CELOGEN® AZ and OT, allowing the manufacture of cellular goods at lower temperatures.
CELOGEN® AZ2500 azodicarbonamide chemical foaming agent is used to produce many types of polymeric and elastomeric closed-cell foams. It is similar to CELOGEN® AZ1901 but with a larger particle size.
CELOGEN® AZ2500 can be catalyzed by a variety of chemicals: strong activators, such as zinc oxide, zinc stearate, and ACTICELL® U; moderate activators, such as barium stearate, calcium stearate, citric acid, and triethanolamine; and weak activators, such as adipic acid, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, and calcium oxide.
