DMAA 95 (N,N-dimethylacetoacetamide) is a 95% purity of DMAA in water, used as a copolymer in unsaturated polyester resin formulations.
DMAA 95 is a concentrated 95% solution of N,N-dimethylacetoacetamide diluted in water. It is most commonly used as a copromoter in unsaturated polyester resin formulations to help resins cure quickly and completely. DMAA 95 can cross-link with other polymers, allowing for the modification and production of novel resins. It also lowers the resin's glass transition temperature and solution viscosity for manufacturing low-VOC, high-solids coatings. Its low color makes it ideally suited for gel coats and other color-sensitive applications. DMAA 95 is also used as a chemical intermediate in the agrochemical market.

Formulators face several challenges when developing polyester resins, including a slow or an incomplete cure time, a high glass transition temperature, or high solution viscosity.
