Overview
Eastman AQ™ 48 Ultra is a sulfopolyester resin that disperses directly in water without the aid of surfactants or additives. Dispersions of AQ™ 48 Ultra are made up of very small particle aggregates that allow for rapid formation of clear and glossy films at room temperature that are low in tack. The electrostatic nature of AQ™ 48 Ultra aggregates in dispersion keeps the particles suspended without the need for dispersing aids.

Applications
Clear, tack free films of AQ™ 48 Ultra dispersions can be easily formed on packaging films to produce a heat seal coating.
This coating can subsequently be sealed to other packaging films and foils to create laminates that are useful in the packaging industry.
In ink formulations, AQ™ 48 Ultra is used as a binder.
The rapid drying speed of the polymer allows for increased printing speeds and rapid curing of inks.
