Eastek™ 1000 is the 30% solids, aqueous dispersion of AQ™ 38S, a sulfopolyester resin with a glass transition temperature of 38°C. It is free from co-solvents, amines, and surfactants. Eastek™ 1000 is used as a film former in water based coatings and as a binding resin in water-based inks. It exhibits fast drying, excellent alcohol resistance, low odor properties, and good penetration into porous substrates. Eastek™ 1000 has excellent adhesion to many common packaging films such as metallized PET and provides films with outstanding flexibility. Eastek™ 1000 is ideal for increasing productivity of printing and coating onto flexible packaging and textiles due to the rapid dry time and excellent flexibility. Films made form Eastek™ 1000 are essentially tack free and high in gloss.
