Eastek™ 1300 Polymer Dispersion
Eastek™ 1300 is an aqueous dispersion of a low Tg polyester resin. It is used as a binder in coatings, primer, and printing inks for flexible substrates.
Eastek™ 1300 is a water-based dispersion of a sulfopolyester resin with a glass transition temperature of 35°C. Eastek™ 1300 dries to form films that are clear, glossy, alcohol resistant, and moderately flexible. because of the low Tg these films are also slightly tacky. Eastek™ 1300 is easily reduced with water and provides outstanding adhesion to many common packaging substrates like PET and paper. It is a great film forming agent and binder for inks and coatings that are used in flexible packaging applications. Inks and coatings formulated with Eastek™ 1300 exhibit faster drying times allowing for faster run speeds and increased productivity.
