Duomeen^® CD is a distilled propylene diamine that is derived from coconut palm oil. It is most commonly used as a corrosion inhibitor fro metal coatings but it can also be used as a lubricant, and dispersion aid. Duomeen^® CD is oil soluble and can be adsorbed onto metal surfaces to form a barrier that lubricates and protects against corrosion. This property is useful in marine coating, metal working lubricant, and chain lubricant applications. In paints and pigment dispersions, Duomeen^® CD works well to improve the wetting of pigments and helps to increase color strength.
