HiTEC® 5789 is a polymethacrylate-based pour point depressant additive to improve low-temperature performance in a variety of base oils. It is particularly well suited for formulating with Group II base oils.

Broad utility in various base stocks
Improves pour point of ExxonMobil Group II base oil and many others
Low viscosity for ease of handling
Difficult to handle, tacky additives
Thinning fluids at high temperature
Waxy, solidified lubricants at low temperature
The recommended concentration for HiTEC® 5789 is generally between 0.02 wt% and 2.0 wt%, with the exact dosage determined by actual tests in the finished oil.
