Thetapel™ AM-5025 is a partially fluorinated, nonionic acrylic copolymer additive that imparts excellent repellency of oil and water to various hard surfaces. It maintains the natural appearance of substrates it is applied to.
Thetapel™ AM-5025 is a solvent-based oil and water-repellent additive engineered to protect treated surfaces from soiling, staining, and weathering. Based on short-chain fluorochemical technology and containing 21.8% to 23.0% solids, it is soluble in nonpolar solvents. This material is easy to incorporate into surface-protecting formulations, exhibiting excellent compatibility with binders, rheology modifiers, and other formulation ingredients. Formulations containing Thetapel™ AM-5025 can be applied to various materials, including canvas, leather, wood, decking, clear coats, waxes, polishes, textiles, and fabrics for apparel, upholstery, outdoor awnings, and tents. It also effectively reduces the surface tension of materials to improve wetting, leveling, spreading, and coating properties of applications. Once applied, this polymer will not affect the color, appearance, feel, or odor of materials, leaving surfaces easy to clean. Thetapel™ AM-5025 can be applied at ambient temperatures using a brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer.
