ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 Industrial is an ethylcellulose polymer used as a binder, rheology modifier, and film former in inks, coatings, and conductive pastes.
ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 Industrial is a water-insoluble ethylcellulose polymer used primarily in specialty coatings, inks, ceramics, and electronics applications. It is a low–molecular weight polymer ideal for high-solids coatings and inks as a thickener and additive to impart shear-thinning rheology. ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 Industrial is also an excellent ethylcellulose binder in applications that require clean burnout and outstanding green strength, such as ceramics and conductive pastes for photovoltaic cells.
ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 Industrial is soluble in many common solvents used in gravure and flexographic inks and can be used as a binder to improve printability onto difficult substrates, such as plastic and glass. ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 Industrial is soluble in many common solvents, including most monohydric alcohols, ketones, ethers, and acetates. When added to printing inks and specialty coatings, it can also improve toughness, flexibility, and gloss.
Since ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 Industrial is insoluble in water, it provides excellent resistance to moisture when used as a film former in paper coatings and hot-melt adhesives. It will also improve resistance to chemical attack from alkalis and salt solutions. The ETHOCEL™ Standard 10 Industrial polymer can also be easily dissolved in most plasticizers, waxes, and hot polymers.
