ETHOCEL™ Standard 100 Industrial is an ethylcellulose polymer used as a rheology modifier, binder, and film former for solvent-based formulations.
ETHOCEL™ Standard 100 Industrial is a water-insoluble ethylcellulose polymer used as a binder, rheology modifier, and film former in many industrial applications. This makes it ideal for controlling viscosity in solvent-based paint, coating, and ink formulations that also require high durability and flexibility upon curing. Films formed have excellent resistance to water and good resistance to chemicals.
In ceramics applications, ETHOCEL™ Standard 100 Industrial provides improved green strength to enable complex and thin-walled shapes to be made with minimal defects and cracking. In this application, it burns out cleanly with very low ash content. The clean burnout properties make it an ideal choice as a binder for conductive inks used in screen printing circuits.
Additionally, this ethylcellulose polymer can be dissolved in hot polymers, waxes, and plasticizers used in hot-melt adhesive applications where it improves bond strength, flexibility, and moisture resistance.
