Overview
Krytox™ GPL 216 is a black PFPE-based grease with a PTFE thickener and solid molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) for added extreme-pressure (EP) stability. Krytox™ GPL 216 is a general-purpose lubricant (GPL) engineered for a variety of lubrication applications in the automotive and industrial sectors, especially including gears and bearings subject to extremely high loads.
Krytox™ GPL 216 is engineered with a base oil viscosity of 243 centistokes at 40°C and is thermally stable in environments with temperatures ranging up to 500°F. Krytox™ GPL 216 has a medium–molecular weight base oil and exhibits the same chemical properties as the PFPE oil used (Krytox™ GPL 106).
