Krytox™ TM7 Grease is a high-performance, fluorinated grease with polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) thickener and proprietary additives. Krytox™ TM7 delivers exceptional thermal stability and very high load-carrying capability. Krytox™ TM7 has a useful temperature range of −20°C to 290°C (−4°F to 555°F). TM7 is designed for use in the vulcanization process of rubber tires in the automotive manufacturing industry and can be used in both electrically and steam-heated molds.
Krytox™ TM7 also boasts a very high degree of chemical nonreactivity and hydrolytic stability where contact with boiling water or steam has no effect. TM7 grease is a lubricant that eliminates carbon residue buildup that may occur on molds associated with hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon-based synthetic greases. Krytox™ TM7 also exhibits phenomenal adhesion properties that allow an operator to increase production and extend lubrication cycles (up to 5,000 cycles) without the need for relubrication.
Build of carbon residue on tire molds
Frequent required mold relubrication
Excessive and inefficient tire lubricant consumption
Krytox™ TM7 is engineered for use as a specialty lubrication solution in segmented tire molds (electric and steam heated).
