Krytox™ XHT-EP298 Grease is a high-performance lubricant based on perfluoropolyether (PFPE) oil with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) nonmelting thickener. It is an extreme-pressure grease formulated for high-temperature applications that need both high load-carrying capacity and anticorrosion protection in environments where rust may develop. Krytox™ XHT-EP298 fluorinated PFPE grease is nonreactive, nonflammable, and completely inert, resulting in zero chemical reactivity. As such, it is compatible with most metals, plastics, and elastomers, making it a versatile lubricant for a wide range of applications, from lubricating fasteners to protecting O-rings and much more.

Krytox™ XHT-EP298 is a synthetic grease that provides high load-carrying capacity and anticorrosion protection for applications subjected to moist conditions and temperature cycling. Typical applications include conveyor chains subjected to moist conditions or frequent temperature cycling that could allow condensation and rusting to occur. Krytox™ XHT-EP298 fluid has a viscosity of 2,560 cSt at 20°C.
