ETHOCEL™ Standard 20 Premium is an ethylcellulose powder that is used as a binder and thickener applications that require high purity.
ETHOCEL™ Standard 20 Premium is a water insoluble, ethyl cellulose polymer. It is designed to meet the requirements of pharmaceutical and other regulated applications. ETHOCEL™ Standard 20 Premium is soluble in most common solvent types and can be used as a thickener, binder, and film former in many applications. In conductive paste applications, ETHOCEL™ Standard 20 works as a temporary binder to improve green strength prior to sintering. In the sintering process it burns out remarkably well and leaves little to no residue. This makes it ideal for applications like semi-conductors and printed circuits. ETHOCEL™ Standard 20 Premium can also be used in ceramic applications to improve green strength of extruded of molded parts. Solvent-based ink formulations also benefit from ETHOCEL™ Standard 20 Premium. It provides precise control of viscosity and a pseudoplastic rheology that helps ink to flow onto and wet out surfaces. Additionally, ETHOCEL™ Standard 20 Premium is used as a film former for water resistant coatings. It is commonly used to coat paper for use in packaging applications.
