ETHOCEL™ Standard 200 Industrial is a high molecular weight ethylcellulose thickener and binder for solvent based inks and coatings formulations.
ETHOCEL™ Standard 200 Industrial is a high molecular weight, water-insoluble, ethyl cellulose polymer.
It is soluble in many common solvent types including monohydric alcohols, ketone, ethers, and acetates.
It is primarily used as a pseudoplastic rheology modifier and thickener in specialty coatings and inks.
ETHOCEL™ Standard 200 Industrial is also used as a binder to improve green strength of ceramics and conductive pastes prior to sintering.
It is excellent for this application because it burns out to less than 0.2 wt% ash.
ETHOCEL™ Standard 200 Industrial is thermoplastic and
can also be used as a film former or resin modifier in printing inks and coatings to improve durability, flexibility, and moisture resistance.
Additionally, ETHOCEL™ Standard 200 Industrial dissolves in hot polymers, waxes and oils and is compatible with most plasticizers.
It can be used in hot melt and heat seal applications to increase bond strength and flexibility.
