Zinc Stearate NB-60M Dispersion is an aqueous dispersion of zinc stearate. Commonly used as a release agent and processing aid in plastics compounding. This dispersion stearate is insoluble in solvents like water[SS1.1], alcohols like methanol and ethanol, esters, and ketones. NB-60M Dispersion is soluble in turpentine, benzene, toluene, mineral and vegetable oils, and waxes.
Compared to other metallic stearates, like calcium or magnesium stearates, zinc stearates offer better water resistance and a lower melting point, and are more compatible with other ingredients. This compatibility makes NB-60M Dispersion more stable and easier to handle in humid conditions or in complex formulations.
