Overview
Sodium Stearate C-7 is a sodium salt of distilled, hydrogenated fatty acids and has broad FDA approval in various applications. Sodium Stearate C-7 can be used in the wetting, thickening, emulsification, and opacification of personal care creams, lotions, and shampoos. This metallic stearate may also be used as a gelling agent in gel deodorant sticks. Furthermore, as a long-chain soap, it inherently consists of both hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts, offering relatively high solubility in hot polar solvents. It has a low odor, making this grade especially beneficial for skin care applications.
