Valikat® ZB1001 is a metal carboxylate-based polyurethane catalyst consisting of a bismuth and zinc blend. It provides a safe, environmentally friendly alternative to lead, mercury, and tin catalysts that have hazardous characteristics. It is effective with both aromatic and aliphatic isocyanates and offers excellent selectivity and slow to moderate gel reaction for a variety of applications including adhesives, thermoplastic polyurethane, and elastomers based with polyether, polyester, and PTMEG.
