EBAC® SP1802 is a highly elastic EMA polymer containing 22.5% ethylene butyl acrylate recommended for a range of applications, including flexible coatings, heat seal layers, tubing, tie layers, and compounding. It exhibits excellent toughness and durability with a Shore D hardness of 40 and 850% elongation at break.
EBAC® SP1802 is a 22.5% ethylene butyl acrylate (EBA) copolymer from Westlake formulated free of plasticizers for applications that require high elasticity and flexibility at a range of temperatures. It is compatible with a wide range of polymers for application versatility while exhibiting good corrosion resistance. It can be easily processed using molding, blending, extrusion, and cast and blown film equipment in the production of blown films, flexible packaging, and more, with exceptional low-temperature performance and durability. EBAC® SP1802 has a melting point of 87°C and a brittleness temperature of less than −73°C.
