POLYOX™ WSR 308 is a water-soluble poly(ethylene oxide) polymer that is commonly used as a retention aid and flocculant for paper making and wastewater treatment.
Product Overview
POLYOX™ WSR 308 is a non-ionic, water soluble poly(ethylene oxide) polymer with a molecular weight of 8,000,000. POLYOX™ WSR 308 adsorbs onto silica and clay and work well as flocculating agents in mining and water treatment applications. POLYOX™ WSR 308 also shows a high affinity for pulp, pitch, and fillers making it an ideal retention aid for paper making applications. Solutions of POLYOX™ WSR 308 has a high degree of wet tack when in solution but will form a film with little to no tack. For this reason it is an effective resin for improving tack of water-based adhesives.
