Viton™ A-HV Pellets
Viton™ A-HV is a gum fluoropolymer with an ultra-high viscosity supplied in pellet form. Viton™ A-HV provides the best resistance to compression sets compared to other A-type polymers.
Viton™ A-HV fluoroelastomer is an A-type gum polymer supplied in pellet form composed of hexafluoropropylene (HFP) and vinylidene fluoride (VF₂).Viton™ A-HV contains 66% fluorine content and is the most vicious of all A-type polymers. Viton™ A-HV offers excellent tensile strength and compression-set resistance. Viton™ A-HV can be cured with both bisphenol and amine-type curatives. As a high-viscosity fluoroelastomer dipolymer, Viton™ A-HV provides vulcanizates with high tensile strength and good resistance to compression sets compared to other bisphenol AF curable types. Viton™ A-HV fluoroelastomers have high-performance applications in products such as O-rings, seals, and gaskets used in volatile and demanding environments like oil and gas exploration. For extrusion processes, Viton™ A-HV offers improved extruded surfaces when processed through a hot die at around 100°C to 140°C.
