CELLOSIZE™ QP-15000H is a high molecular weight hydroxyethyl cellulose polymer that is used as a thickener for cleaners, inks, coatings, and adhesives.
CELLOSIZE™ QP-15000H is a high molecular weight, non-ionic, water soluble hydroxyethyl cellulose polymer that is used as a binder and thickener in various applications including adhesives, coatings, paints, and cleaners. It is surface treated to delay hydration and allow for the polymer to be completely dispersed in water prior to hydration. This allows for CELLOSIZE™ QP-15000H to be completely dispersed and for lump free solutions to be produced. Hydration can be sped up by increasing the pH or temperature of the dispersion. CELLOSIZE™ QP-15000H will yield solutions with a viscosity of 1100-1500 cP when added to water at 1%. This highly efficient thickener is ideal for latex formulations where water soluble solids need to be kept to a minimum. Adhesives thickened with CELLOSIZE™ QP-15000 are highly thixotropic and can be applied easily while maintaining good sag resistance and cling to vertical surfaces. The specifications of CELLOSIZE™ QP-15000H including impurities and molecular weight is tightly controlled. This allows for more consistent performance when compared to other hydrocolloids like guar and xantham gum.
