EPOLENE® C-29 is a maleic anhydride–modified, branched, low-density polyethylene wax used as a base polymer for hot melt adhesives.
EPOLENE® C-29 is a low-density, maleic anhydride–modified polyethylene wax. The maleic anhydride modification of EPOLENE® C-29 improves adhesion and compatibility with fillers. When used as a resin for hot melt adhesives, it produces bonds with broad temperature resistance and excellent bond peel strength properties. Hot melt adhesives formulated with EPOLENE® C-29 exhibit excellent machinability with most common hot melt adhesive application systems.
EPOLENE® C-29 also enhances gloss, grease resistance, and moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) properties of paraffin wax coatings. Therefore, it is also useful as an additive in extrusion coating applications for packaging. Additionally, EPOLENE® C-29 can improve the dispersion of pigments within color concentrates.
