POLYOX™ WSR N3000 is non-ionic, water-soluble polymer composed of poly(ethylene oxide). It has a molecular weight of 400,000. POLYOX™ WSR N3000 is most commonly used to bind phosphors in fluorescent lamps and cathode ray tubes. Additionally, POLYOX™ WSR N3000 can be used as a binder for hand soaps that also imparts a soft feel and smooth application to the soap. POLYOX™ WSR N3000 can also be used to thicken detergents and will act as an emollient in these applications. Water-soluble films can be made using POLYOX™ WSR N3000. These films are used in the packaging of solid detergent products.
