Solus™ 1100 is an additive made from cellulose that improves image quality and productivity in solvent-based and energy-curable ink formulations and overprint varnishes. Among Solus™ additives, Solus™ 1100 features one of the lowest glass transition temperatures (Tg) and low intrinsic viscosity, making it ideal for low-viscosity ink formulations, such as flexographic, gravure, and inkjet inks. It is soluble in several solvents typically used in ink formulations and has excellent compatibility with other formulation components, such as cross-linking resins and curing resin systems. Solus™ 1100 helps improve flow and leveling and creates high early-cure hardness. This helps improve adhesion and image definition while increasing durability. Solus™ 1100 is made from approximately 37% bio content, making it a powerful additive made from renewable resources.
