Overview
Solus™ 1200 is a performance additive derived from cellulose designed to provide solvent-based and UV-curable inks with better visual quality and durability. It is ideal for flexographic and gravure inks used in packaging and graphic arts applications. Solus™ 1200 helps increase the cross-link density and early-cure hardness development of ink films, improving durability throughout the printed product’s lifecycle. It also helps enhance flow and leveling properties, improving contact with low–surface energy substrates, thereby facilitating better adhesion. Solus™ 1200 is soluble in a variety of solvents commonly used in ink formulations, forming clear solutions. It also features good compatibility with other ink formulation components. Films formed with Solus™ 1200 have outstanding clarity and feature excellent resistance to yellowing and degradation from UV exposure. Solus™ 1200 is made from over 40% bio content, making it a powerful additive made from renewable resources.
