Solus™ 1300 is a cellulose-based additive and resin used to increase the durability, visual quality, and productivity of solvent-based and UV-curable ink formulations.
Solus™ 1300 is a cellulose-based performance additive and resin used in solvent-based gravure inks and overprint varnishes. It helps form films with exceptional durability and strong resistance to moisture and degradation from exposure to UV light. Relative to other Solus™ additives designed for ink applications, Solus™ 1300 creates clear solutions with higher viscosity. It helps improve the flow and leveling properties of solvent-based inks to enhance image clarity and adhesion, especially on low–surface energy substrates. Like other Solus™ additives, Solus™ 1300 builds viscosity rapidly upon curing, promoting higher early-cure hardness and better film durability. Solus™ 1200 is made from approximately 40% bio content, making it a powerful additive made from renewable resources.
