Solus™ 8075 is a cellulose ester performance additive with relatively intermediate butyryl content and viscosity. It is used in a variety of applications.
Solus™ 8075, a cellulose-based polymer manufactured by Eastman, serves as a performance additive that enhances rheology modification, accelerates dry-to-touch times, and provides weathering and block resistance across various applications. It is soluble in a range of organic solvents and aids in forming strong, high-hardness films in coating applications. Like many of Eastman’s cellulose esters, Solus™ 8075 improves the flow and leveling of formulations on substrates, effectively reducing visual defects such as cratering, orange peel, and pinholes. Consequently, it enhances the distinctness of image and gloss properties of the formed films.
