Overview
METHOCEL™ K15M Food Grade is an HPMC polymer with moderate hydroxypropyl substitution. It is commonly used as thickener, binder, and suspension aid in applications that require food grade material including adhesives and coatings. Solutions containing METHOCEL™ K15M Food Grade have excellent lubricity and are easy to spread due to the highly thixotropic nature of the polymer. METHOCEL™ K15M Food Grade in solution will reversibly gel at temperatures above 90°C to provide an added boost to green strength in ceramics and adhesive applications.
