ROZONE™ 2000 is a dichlorooctylisothiazolinone (DCOIT) dry film preservative supplied in a liquid form to protect paints, coatings, adhesives, and building materials against the defacement and growth of fungi and algae.
ROZONE™ 2000 Mildewcide is a liquid form of dichlorooctylisothiazolinone (DCOIT) dry film preservative and antimicrobial additive for the control of fungi, algae, and bacteria in a variety of applications and product formulations. Similar to BIOBAN™ 200, ROZONE™ 2000 is based on the same active ingredient but supplied in a solvent carrier, while BIOBAN™ 200 is an aqueous dispersion.
ROZONE™ 2000 Mildewcide protects coatings and building materials against the growth of mold on its surface and prevents defacement by fungi and algae. ROZONE™ features very low water solubility and high resistance to leaching even on weathered surfaces, providing long-lasting protection.
In addition, ROZONE™ 2000 also provides wet-state (in-can) preservation against fungi and even bacteria when combined with another long-term bactericide. ROZONE™ 2000 is highly effective in both interior and exterior product formulations, including coatings, latex and solvent-based paints, semitransparent stains, solid stains, dispersed pigments and colorants, and building materials, including elastomeric roof and wall coatings, mastics, caulks, sealants, joint cement, spackling, stucco, grout, adhesives, and tackifiers.
