POLYOX™ WSR N80 is a water-soluble poly(ethylene oxide) polymer that is typically used as a film former and binder for seed coatings, batteries, and lubricant strips.
Product Overview
POLYOX™ WSR N80 is a non-ionic, water-soluble poly(ethylene oxide) polymer with a molecular weight of 200,000. POLYOX™ WSR N80 is commonly used as a film former in both agriculture and personal care applciations. Films made from POLYOX™ WSR N80 are ideal for seed tape as they will not interfere with germination and growth once the seed is planted. When used the resin in lubricant strips for razors POLYOX™ WSR N80 imparts outstanding lubricity as well as excellent skin feel. POLYOX™ WSR N80 is also an efficient binder of inorganic salts and as such is useful in battery electrode applications.
