ROCIMA™ BT NV2
ROCIMA™ BT NV2 is a zero-VOC, aqueous dispersion 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) in-can preservative. It offers broad-spectrum protection against bacteria and fungi in a wide variety of industrial and agricultural formulations.
ROCIMA™ BT NV2 is a benzothiazolinone-based preservative similar to ROCIMA™ BT 2S and KORALONE™ B-119 but formulated as an aqueous dispersion. This product's key feature is having zero VOC content, making it an excellent choice for low-VOC formulations.
Like other BIT-based preservatives, ROCIMA™ BT NV2 offers broad-spectrum activity against bacteria and fungi (yeast and mold). It also provides stability at high temperatures up to 150°C and in the presence of amines. ROCIMA™ BT NV2 is suitable over a wide pH range of 4 to 12.
ROCIMA™ BT NV2 exhibits a high level of microbial protection against common bacteria in aqueous-based formulations. ROCIMA™ BT NV2 is EPA-approved and recommended for use in paints, coatings, adhesives, building materials, and pesticide formulations. More information about approved applications and use levels is available on the label.

LANXESS Microbial Control offers a wide range of in-can (wet-state) preservative that provides broad spectrum efficacy against various types of microbiological organisms and contaminants.
What are the microbial control chemistries available for cleaning products in the market today? What are the factors and criteria that determine the preservative performance and stability in a formulation?
Consumers expect to buy products that are effective and safe. Preservatives are vital components of cleaning products. However, there are questions raised about their safety and effectiveness. In collaboration with IFF and HCPA. We tried to answer some of these questions in this article.
