Elvacite™ 4059 is a methacrylate copolymer that was designed to be used as a modifier for UV curable coatings, inks, and adhesives.
Elvacite™ 4059 is a solid bead acrylic resin that has broad solubility in monomers used for UV curable formulations. Novel polymer chemistry is used to confer this resin with a UV reactive macromolecular design. Elvacite™ 4059 is recommended to be used in combination with a passive acrylic resin to modify the performance of UV curable inks, coatings, and adhesives. Additional benefits obtained from adding Elvacite™ 4059 to UV curable formulations include faster cure rate with reduced shrinkage, improved chemical resistance of cured films, and lower formulation viscosity.
