Elvacite™ 4346 is a low molecular weight methacrylate copolymer that is used as a film forming resin and binder in low VOC coatings, inks, and adhesives.
Elvacite™ 4346 is a thermoplastic methacrylate polymer that is available as a solid bead.
it is soluble in many VOC exempt solvents.
The low molecular weight of Elvacite™ 4346 allows formulators to lower VOC content due to a lower viscosity at high solids content.
It is an ideal film forming resin for inks, coatings, and adhesives that require reduced VOC content.
Elvacite™ 4346 is often used in alkyd systems to improve the hardness of the cured film.
In addition, the inclusion of Elvacite™ 4346 improves the dispersion of inorganic pigments and allows for improved color strength and rub resistance.
