Elvacite™ 2021C is an acrylic resin based on poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA). It is a high–molecular weight polymer with a glass transition temperature of 100°C that produces coatings with excellent abrasion resistance, clarity, and hardness. 

Elvacite™ 2021C resin is "cooked" to remove any residual monomer, making it ideal for controlling viscosity in reactive systems, such as UV-cured coatings. Elvacite™ 2021C also helps control shrinkage and improve adhesion to various materials when used in UV-cured coatings. 

Elvacite™ 2021C is also used in lacquers and barrier coatings for rigid materials like metal, wood, and vinyl. In automotive upholstery applications, this resin provides hard, tough films with excellent abrasion resistance. Elvacite™ 2021C can also be used in construction bolt cement formulations where solubility in MMA, as well as outstanding storage stability, adhesion, and mechanical performance, make it a suitable resin choice.
