Elvacite® 2009 is a medium molecular weight methyl methacrylate resin. It provides outstanding barrier properties when used in topcoats and lacquers.
Elvacite® 2009 is a acrylic resin composed of methyl methacrylate and ethyl acrylate. It has good solubility and is one of the more flexible resins in the methyl methacrylate line of Elvacite® resins. When formulated into a coating Elvacite® 2009 produces clear, durable films with outstanding barrier properties. Coatings based on this resin are abrasion resistant, chemical resistant, and will not yellow due to UV exposure. Elvacite® 2009 can also be used to formulate structural adhesives that have excellent outdoor durability.
