BONDERITE® S-AD 1261 ACHESON is an ultrafine molybdenum disulfide additive for formulating automotive and industrial gear oils.
BONDERITE® S-AD 1261 ACHESON (previously known as SLA 1261) is a stable colloidal dispersion of ultrafine molybdenum disulfide suspended in highly refined petroleum oil. BONDERITE® S-AD 1261 ACHESON is intended to be used as a lubricant additive to formulate single and multiviscosity grade automotive and industrial gear oils. BONDERITE® S-AD 1261 ACHESON will not emulsify water, and meets the strict demulsification requirements of U.S. Steel specification 224 and AGMA gear oil specifications 250.03 and 250.04. This MoS2 additive reduces friction between metal surfaces and enhances extreme pressure, load carrying and anti-wear performance in gear oil. BONDERITE® S-AD 1261 ACHESON will also perform across a broad temperature range.
