Product Overview
Elvacite® 2669 is a solid bead methacrylate resin with a high acid number and medium molecular weight.
The acid functionality of this polymer makes is soluble in slightly alkaline aqueous solutions.
Elvacite® 2669 is an ideal film forming resin for ink and coating formulations that are applied to solvent sensitive substrates or require reduced solvent emissions.
Solutions of Elvacite® 2669 show excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates including plastic and metal.
It forms clear, abrasion resistant films with good UV resistance.
Due to the water solubility, Elvacite® 2669 is best suited for applications where temporary coatings and inks are desired.
If a more permanent coating or ink is desired, Elvacite® 2669 can be formulated with zinc oxide to improve water resistance and enhance durability.
