Tyzor® TPT 20B is a mixture of tetra-isopropyl and tetra-n-butyl titanate. it is very sensitive to moisture and has a lower pour point than Tyzor® TPT. The most common application for Tyzor® TPT 20B is as a low toxicity reaction catalyst. It is well suited for use as a Lewis acid catalyst for addition, condensation, and esterfication reactions. It can also be used in olefin polymerization as a Ziegler-Natta catalyst. Tyzor® TPT 20B can also be added to paints to cross link polymers with hydroxyl or carboxyl functionality. In addition, metal and glass surfaces can be treated with Tyzor® TPT 20B to promote adhesion of coatings, improve surface hardness, and prevent corrosion. polymeric films of titanium dioxide can be formed using Tyzor® TPT 20B and used as a binder or coating.
