Tyzor® PITA-SM is a titanate with a chemical composition consisting of a titanium ethyl acetoacetate complex mixed with a methyl trimethoxy silane. Tyzor® PITA-SM is used in silicone sealants and adhesives as a curing agent and an adhesion promoter. This titanate has high reactivity at low temperatures, allowing it to cross-link with common functional groups, such as hydroxyl and carboxyl groups. Tyzor® PITA-SM is an ideal option for silanol end-capped polymers, such as polypropylene oxides, acrylates, or polyurethanes. It also can be used as a binding and an adhesion-promoting additive in paints and coatings.
