Elvacite® 2697 is a low molecular weight, methacrylate copolymer. It is used in reactive coating & ink systems to reduce shrinkage and control viscosity.
Elvacite®2697 is a thermoplastic acrylic resin composed of methacrylate monomers. It is available as a solid bead that can be dissolved readily in aromatics, ketones, glycol ethers, esters, and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Elvacite® 2697 is non-reactive and is often used in reactive, monomer/polymer, UV, & EB systems to reduce shrinkage and control viscosity. Elvacite® 2697 forms clear, hard films with outstanding abrasion and UV resistance. It can be used as the primary binder in printing inks as well as the film forming polymer in metal coatings & lacquers.
