Elvacite® 4348 is a methacrylate polymer that is used as a film former in concrete coatings. It shows improved performance in high humidity environments.
ElvaciteĀ® 4348 is a methyl methacrylate-based resin that is designed for use as a film former in concrete and masonry coatings. It is similar to ElvaciteĀ® 2016 but it shows improved adhesion and performance in high humidity environments like around pools. ElvaciteĀ® 4348 is available as a non-dusting solid bead that is soluble in aromatics, ketones, esters, and glycol ethers. Solutions of ElvaciteĀ® 4348 will form clear films that adhere well to damp concrete and have exceptional gloss and abrasion resistance. An added benefit of ElvaciteĀ® 4348 in concrete coatings is that it shows less whitening when exposed to moisture than standard acrylic resins.
